A wonderful championship links course designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie and host of the 2024 English Amateur Championships.

The fast-draining sandy soil means the tightly-mown fairways and greens remain open virtually 365 days a year.

The National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool is the perfect place for a family adventure as you journey to a recreated 18th century seaport.

Travel back in time to the 18th century and see what life on a seaport was really like as you visit the Chandler’s shop, hear the firing of our cannon and musket, and experience our fighting ships exhibit.

They lock you in a room, and the goal is to GET OUT before the hour is up. You’ll have to solve puzzles, complete challenges, and follow clues, guiding you to the exit.

A fantastic day out for family and friends!

If you’re new to birdwatching, Saltholme is the perfect place to start. These family-friendly wetlands have a helpful visitor’s centre, hides and screens which let you get up close to water rail, yellow wagtails and terns, plus a family discovery zone, cafe, play area and accessible trails.
